31 Day Challenge, Day Eight: Metallic

Let me start off by saying Sally Hansen's metallic nail polish is way better than nails inc. and from these pics you will be able to tell why:

The color is great, instant shine as soon as you apply the magnet! But the definition of the design is poor and the actual polish lost its luster after a day.
 :(

Polish after one coat, before the magnet was applied

Left had, you can barely see the design; and what you can see looks tie-dye!

Just trying to capture an angle to show case the effect lol

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree...!

So I was really excited to do a Christmas tree and Ta-Da! It's a really simple design but I like how it turned out.

What I used:
Milani- "Twinkle"
Seche Vite (Top Coat)
Brucci Acrylic (Basecoat)
Nails Inc- "Chelsea"
China Glaze- "Four Leaf Clover"
OPI- "Be-Claus I Said So" (ornaments)

As usual there's the issue of properly trying to capture glitter on camera

In this up close shot you can see the purple glitter more clearly

Right hand

In other news my Bundle Monster case came!

Happy Polishing!

Sometimes things ARE Black or White... or both.

Happy Election Day!

I wish I could say I was inspired to do something a bit more patriotic but hopefully my happy flag makes up for my lack of red, white and blue.

What I used: Essie- "Marshmellow"; Konad- "Black"; and Nails Inc; "Electric Lane"; Seche Vite- Top Coat

Base coat

"Electric Lane" applied to half my nail as the base for my BM stamp

I was trying to capture the glitter under my nail stamp, it's better in person.

Top Coat and done!

 Thanks for reading!!

Favs: Perfect Pinks

Since I'm new to blogging, I've decided to catalogue some my favorite colors designs over 2012. One thing I have noticed through this process is my growth and change of taste. I also realized I did a disproportionate amount of pink nails this year... :-X  Enjoy!
