Back online!!

So in my little hiatus from the blog world I completed my first 31 day challenge and then promptly lost half of those pics when my phone went hay-wire (WHY didn't I back everything up!?) Needless to say I became a bit unmotivated...

BUT! I did/do miss it so hopes of making amends I've posted the pics that actually still exist and survived the failing of my iPhone; I also want to begin a 31 Day challenge anew (dare I try again??).

Day 28: Inspired by a flag (Nigeria)
Day 20: Watermarbled
Day 19: Galaxies

These are just some of my fave nail designs from 2013 that didn't really get any press:

31 Day Challenge, Day Eleven: Polka Dots

My Polka! For this challenge I used my fancy-schmancy dotting tools. I used two coats of the lighter shade of blue and then I free handed the dots. The dotting tool is really cool and easy to use.

Point to remember: the more polish on dotting tool, the bigger the dot!

31 Day Challenge, Day Ten: Gradient

Hello hello! So I just want to start off by saying I love gradient! It's easy and fresh and just so hard to mess up!

For this manicure I used:

For the foil design I used, crush nail sheets; I finally found a use for them! lol
1) Cut regular makeup sponge into small pieces
2) Have a sheet of saran wrap already placed on your area
3) Put two coat of your main polish on your nails, I suggest this being the lighter of the two polishes
4) Then paint the two colors onto your saran wrap as shown
5) Dip sponge repeatedly in polish on saran wrap, shifting up and down to merge colors seamlessly
6) Apply to nail, moving the sponge up and down
7) Feel free to put added polish directly to sponge to fill in  hard to manage areas
8) Finish with Seche Vite!
