31 Day Challenge, Day Eighteen: Half-moons

I want to start off by saying I love half-moon designs. I also want to point out that I love this combo, it just shouts: "WELCOME TO SUMMER!" ^_^
The colors I used are China Glaze: "Lemon Fizz" and "Peachy Keen".
I simply adore everything about China Glaze polishes, they are long lasting and super easy with applying.

I tried out a new top coat, :( R.I.P. Seche Vite, Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat. It's super shiny, fast drying and I'm going on day three with no chips!

31 Day Challenge, Day Seventeen: Glitter

I have a firm belief that glitter polish looks better in the bottle than it does on my hands. I'm not sure if its the curve of my nails or the colors I choose, but I never really quite feel the BLING factor.

Below I used:

Two coats of "Lapis of Luxury"

Using nail tape I set the limits for the reverse chevron

Add a coat of "Set in Stones" and voila!

Overall I'm satisfied with this design, but I think I'll try it with a darker base coat next time.. hm.

31 Day Challenge, Day Sixteen: Tribal

I'm gonna start off by saying that tribal designs scare me. The idea of having to do such small sometimes intricate designs LEFT-HANDED (since I'm right-handed)!!! Just blows my mind. Anywhoo, here's my attempt at it.

I started out with two coats of my base coat
Then I drew in lines where I wanted to highlight my designs.
And then freestyle it!

31 Day Challenge, Days Fourteen and Fifteen: Delicately Printed Flowers

So when i began my nails for this design i realized that this was not only a lovely flower design but also very delicate looking. I used Julep's Oxygen Treatment as the base, it's the perfect jelly pink. Also helps to prevent pesky yellowing that comes with excessive polishing.

31 Day Challenge, Day Thirteen: Animal Print

My first time free-hand butterflies, a step-by-step guide....

1) One coat of this fabulous orange
2) Saran Wrap
3) Using the saran wrap technique I put on one coat of a lovely pink shade
4) Ta-Da!

First time trying but I like the effect

31 Day Challenge, Day Twelve: Stripes

My stripes! I'd used simple nail tape for this design after two solid coats of Essie's-"Blanc".

31 Day Challenge, Day Eleven: Polka Dots

My Polka! For this challenge I used my fancy-schmancy dotting tools. I used two coats of the lighter shade of blue and then I free handed the dots. The dotting tool is really cool and easy to use.

Point to remember: the more polish on dotting tool, the bigger the dot!

31 Day Challenge, Day Ten: Gradient

Hello hello! So I just want to start off by saying I love gradient! It's easy and fresh and just so hard to mess up!

For this manicure I used:

For the foil design I used, crush nail sheets; I finally found a use for them! lol
1) Cut regular makeup sponge into small pieces
2) Have a sheet of saran wrap already placed on your area
3) Put two coat of your main polish on your nails, I suggest this being the lighter of the two polishes
4) Then paint the two colors onto your saran wrap as shown
5) Dip sponge repeatedly in polish on saran wrap, shifting up and down to merge colors seamlessly
6) Apply to nail, moving the sponge up and down
7) Feel free to put added polish directly to sponge to fill in  hard to manage areas
8) Finish with Seche Vite!

31 Day Challenge, Day Nine: Rainbow

So after lots of deliberation (and polish) i thought about using this geometric style to complete a rainbow design. I love how this turned out but to save time in the future i realize I should really use one color at a time rather than alternating as I go...

I started out by setting the foundation with dots

And like a coloring book I simply colored in the triangles

The damage

Fin!

31 Day Challenge, Day Eight: Metallic

Let me start off by saying Sally Hansen's metallic nail polish is way better than nails inc. and from these pics you will be able to tell why:

The color is great, instant shine as soon as you apply the magnet! But the definition of the design is poor and the actual polish lost its luster after a day.
 :(

Polish after one coat, before the magnet was applied

Left had, you can barely see the design; and what you can see looks tie-dye!

Just trying to capture an angle to show case the effect lol

31 Day Challenge, Day Seven: Black & White

So here you will see everything I used to make this look possible, I remember the days when all I used was one bottle of polish... Sigh Lol.

The colors I used are Essie- "Blanc"Essie- "Licorice", stamping polish Konad- "Black" and "White" with my lovely Bundle Monster Plates. Once I stamped my middle and ring fingers I felt everything was unfinished soooo I freehanded the half moons.

Happy polishing!

31 Day Challenge, Day Six: Violet

In an effort to embrace glitter I have purchased this handy dandy parcel from Amazon, complete with 12 different hexagon glitter designs. It also came with dotting pens, which was a total surprise, guess i have to read the product description a bit more closely. The only thing about these glitters is that some if the colors are not opaque but a bit iridescent. Other than that I love em! So here's China Glaze- "Grape Pop" bringing you VIOLET!

This lighting really showcases the color of the polish
